Here’s what you can order with your Vivint smart system
Unlike rival home security companies, Vivint’s security and automation systems are customized for renters. Here are some of the more asked about sensors and services:
Motion alarms and glass sensors can alert you when an uninvited intruder comes into your apartment or rental house. Receive an alert to your smartphone if an device goes off, or activate your devices remotely and let in maintenance or guests when you’re out.
Fire, flood, and safety alarms
Ordinary smoke detectors usually come as part of your rental, but you may not get other environmental alarms. Hang a wireless carbon monoxide detector or water sensor to alert you and your monitoring team to danger before it’s too late.
HD security cameras
Your security cameras can be wirelessly hung so you can keep an eye on indoor rooms. A doorbell camera gives you the option to watch -- and talk to -- guests at the door. See real-time HD feeds and texts about lurkers through the Vivint App.
One of the benefits of using Vivint is the monitoring agents that respond to triggered alarms. If a component goes off, your monitoring experts immediately calls you to make sure you’re secure. Then they’ll turn around and contact the fire or police departments.
Smart home components
Home automation components, like smart lighting, can be added to make your apartment more eco-friendly. Some components like a smart thermostat or smart door locks may involve prior office approval.
The Vivint App
Your Pittsburgh security system can be controlled from home or away with the Vivint App. Watch live security camera feeds, remotely activate alarms and cameras, or program schedules for all your smart devices. Then get alerts to your mobile device if an alarm goes off or a security camera sees suspicious motion.
